In my solitude, I reflect on my life and on the many blessings that have been entrusted to me. I will give thanks to You, LORD, with all my heart and will tell of all Your wonderful deeds. Counting my blessings, I will remember the grace and goodness You’ve given me as Your child.

You have blessed me with every spiritual blessing in Christ and given me everything I need for life and godliness. I can ask you for what I need and thank you for what you’ve done. You prepare a table for me in the presence of my enemies. My cup overflows. I am friends again with my Creator and have been bought with a price; I belong to God. My boundary lines have fallen in pleasant places. I am blessed to be a blessing.

Even in times of hardship and struggle, I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. I know that You work all things together for the good of making me more and more like Jesus. My trials are temporary and that a brighter future awaits. The best is yet to come for all who believe!

In moments of self-doubt, I remember that I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. It’s that I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Today, I give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever. He gives me so many reasons to keep gratitude in my heart.

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. What blessings do I have in my life that I need to express gratitude for?
  2. How can I better embrace both the hardships and the joys in my life, trusting that they are all part of a greater plan?
  3. In what ways can I strengthen my relationships and express love towards those around me, especially in times of adversity?
