Read I give thanks with my whole heart

I give thanks with my whole heart - I choose thanksgiving; I feel gratitude and I show appreciation. When I choose to give thanks, it’s a decision of my will. When I feel gratitude, that connects my emotions. And when I show appreciation, it aligns my action with my decision and emotions. My decision, my emotions and actions make up my whole heart.

I choose thanksgiving. Every morning, I make a conscious choice to give thanks for the gift of life and for the opportunities that lie ahead. I will give thanks to You, Lord, with all my heart; and I will tell of all Your wonderful deeds. I give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for me in Christ Jesus. I choose to give thanks at the end of the day for specific things that happened for that day. It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to declare His steadfast love in the morning, and His faithfulness by night.

I feel gratitude. Gratitude wells up within me as I reflect on the countless blessings showered upon me. Gratitude is a feeling I experience for the good things in my life. It involves choosing to recognize and acknowledge the blessings, kindness, or positive experiences that I have received from God and others in their day-to-day of every day.

Gratitude is often accompanied by a sense of humility. I can’t feel gratitude and pride at the same time. I let the peace of Christ rule in my heart, to which indeed I was called in one body. And I am thankful. This leads to a desire to express thanks or show acts of kindness in return.

I show appreciation. Gratitude should not be confined to mere words, but should be expressed through actions. The action could be to write in a gratitude journal, or it might be by showing my appreciation in practical ways. It could be expressed by acts of kindness in return for the kindness shown to me. Since I live by the Spirit, I keep in step with the Spirit and obey what He tells me to show appreciation. I will be still and know that He is God and follow the impressions that come to me.

Today, I choose to give thanks, feel gratitude, and show appreciation. Choosing to give thanks with my whole heart is essential for my journey with Him. My whole heart aligns with His heart for me, and I am blessed with peace and hope and joy as I trust in Him.

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. How can I cultivate a daily practice of choosing thanksgiving with my whole heart?
  2. What specific blessings and acts of kindness can I reflect on with gratitude in my life?
  3. In what ways can I express appreciation through actions and acts of kindness towards others?

Read My day begins and ends with gratitude

As I wake up each morning, I am filled with gratitude for the new day ahead. This is the day that the LORD has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it! He has ordained all the days of my life before one of them came to be. I am in awe of the greatness and goodness of my God. I take a moment to reflect on the blessings in my life and offer thanks to God. Knowing everything God created is good and nothing is to be rejected if it’s received with thanksgiving; I thank Him for the warmth of my bed, my family—who love me—and every blessing He has entrusted to me.

Throughout the day, I strive to practice gratitude in every circumstance. I know I need to give thanks in all situations; for this is God’s will for me. I enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise and I so I pray and for His kingdom to come and His will to be done in my everyday world as it is in heaven.

In moments of stress or worry, I worry about nothing, pray about everything and thank Him in all things. I don’t ignore my problem or pretend they don’t exist, but I pray about them and exchange my problems for His peace. The peace of God, which transcends all understanding, guards my heart and my mind in Christ Jesus.

As the day progresses, I encounter challenges and opportunities for growth. I’ve learned and am learning to trust in the Lord with all my heart and to not lean not on my own understanding. In all my ways, I acknowledge Him, and He makes my paths straight.

Before I go to bed, I reflect on the day’s events and give thanks for the lessons learned. I give thanks to the LORD, for He is good. His love endures forever. As I close my eyes, I find peace in knowing that God is always with me. He goes before me and I can be strong and courageous. I don’t have to be afraid or discouraged. The LORD my God is with me wherever I go!

Today, whatever I do, whether in word or deed, I do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. My day begins and ends with gratitude, and gratitude guards my heart in the day-to-day of every day.

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. How can I cultivate a spirit of gratitude throughout my day, even in the midst of challenges?
  2. In what ways can I practice trust and reliance on God, especially when faced with uncertainty or difficulties?
  3. How can I further deepen my understanding of God’s love and faithfulness, and let that shape my perspective and response to life’s circumstances?

Read Limited resources increase my thankfulness

I have learned that limited resources can actually be a blessing in disguise. It is during times of scarcity that I learn to truly appreciate the abundant provision of my God. My Heavenly Father promises to supply all my needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus. His assurance fills my heart with gratitude and peace.

The Lord is my shepherd, and I lack nothing. My perspective shifts. Instead of dwelling on what I don’t have, I choose to focus on the blessings that surround me. I give thanks in all circumstances, for it is God’s will for me in Christ Jesus. Gratitude becomes a way of life, regardless of my circumstances. When I store up treasures in heaven—where they will never be destroyed or stolen—I am not in an anxious pursuit of material possessions. I appreciate the true riches found in a relationship with God.

Contentment becomes my companion as I embrace godliness and trust in the Lord with all my heart. I understand that a little with the fear of the Lord is far greater than abundance, accompanied by trouble. My focus shifts from accumulating worldly wealth to seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness first.

In moments of trials and challenges, I find solace in knowing that all things work together for good for those who love God and are called according to His purpose. He is for me and not against me and since He is for me, who can be against me? The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, and His mercies are new every morning. I count it all joy when facing various trials, for they produce endurance and greater faith.

Today, I am reminded of the faithfulness of my Heavenly Father. He knows my needs and provides for me abundantly. My limited resources become an opportunity for thankfulness, as they draw me closer to God and deepen my dependence on Him. I am grateful for His provision, His guidance, and His unwavering love. God is so good!

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. How can I cultivate a mindset of gratitude and contentment, even when faced with limited resources?
  2. In what ways can I shift my focus from earthly treasures to storing up treasures in heaven?
  3. How can I actively seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness as my top priority, trusting that He will provide for all my needs?

Read Gratitude is a sacred practice

Every morning, as the sun dances its way into the sky, I awaken with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the gift of life, for the blessings that have been bestowed upon me, and for the love that envelopes me.

I decide to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, I present my requests to God. Casting any cares that have followed me from the night on Him, because He cares for me. I start my day with gratitude, and lay my worries at His feet, and to trust He is working all things together for the good.

This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it. Every day is a unique gift from God, one that should be filled with joy and gratitude. Even in the midst of trials and tribulations, there is always a reason to give thanks. As I go about my day, I find myself rejoicing always, and praying continually, giving thanks in all circumstances; for I know this is God’s will for me in Christ Jesus. I don’t let gratitude to be confined to the morning hours. Instead, it permeates every moment of my life. I am constantly in conversation with God, expressing my thanks for His many blessings.

Gratitude is more than just an emotion or a state of mind. It is a way of life. I choose to see the good in each day, to appreciate the beauty in each moment, and to celebrate the love in each interaction. It is choosing to trust in God’s plan that is good and that He is working all things together for the good. I find peace in His presence. I find peace when I trust Him enough to always be in His presence.

As I lay down to rest each evening, my heart brimming with gratitude for another blessed day, I give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. I celebrate my daily journey with gratitude. It serves as a poignant reminder of God’s unwavering love and faithfulness.

Gratitude is more than just a habit or a routine. It is a spiritual discipline, a sacred practice that draws me closer to God and allows me to experience His love in profound and meaningful ways. As I cultivate a heart of gratitude, I open myself up to the abundance of God’s grace and the beauty of His creation.

Today, as I start the day, I do so with gratitude—gratitude for the love of God, for the gift of life, and for the countless blessings that come my way. For it is through this gratitude that I truly come alive and experience the fullness of God’s love. Gratitude is a sacred practice.

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. How can my outlook on life and my relationship with God be affected by starting each day with gratitude?
  2. Can I identify specific moments or situations where I found joy and gratitude, even during trials?
  3. How can I incorporate gratitude into every aspect of my life, beyond just the morning hours?

“The joyful voices of bridegrooms and brides will be heard again, along with the joyous songs of people bringing thanksgiving offerings to the Lord. They will sing, ‘Give thanks to the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, for the Lord is good. Read I practice gratitude daily because it's God's will I give thanks always

Every morning, as the sun peeks through my bedroom window, I take a moment to pause, to breathe, and to give thanks. It’s not just a habit, but a way of life for me. The Bible tells me to give thanks always.

Practicing gratitude daily doesn’t mean denying the difficulties I face. It means acknowledging God’s presence and His work in my life despite those difficulties. I will not give God credit for the works of the one who comes to kill, steal, and destroy. I will treat all hardship as discipline, knowing He is a good Father and will work all things together for good. I agree to cast all my cares on Him because He cares for me. I never forget that the God of all hope fills me with peace and joy as I trust in Him, so that I will overflow with hope by the power of Holy Spirit. So, I worry about nothing, but pray about everything and thank Him in all things, knowing that’s His will for me.

Each day brings its own set of challenges and blessings. I’ve learned to see each challenge as an opportunity for growth and every blessing as God’s love manifesting in my life. When I wake up to a new day, I thank God for the gift of life. When I sit down to have my meals, I thank Him for providing me with nourishment. Even when things don’t go as planned, I’ve learned to say a word of thanks because I know I can trust Him, knowing He will work all things together for good.

Gratitude helps me maintain a positive outlook on life. It shifts my focus from what’s wrong to what’s right. It helps me appreciate the small blessings that often go unnoticed. Practicing gratitude strengthens my relationship with God. It makes me more aware of His presence in my life and more appreciative of His love for me.

Practicing gratitude daily improves my overall well-being. It teaches me to see God’s hand in everything around me and helps make me a happier and more content person. Gratitude helps me to worship God as God, so my thinking does not become futile and my heart doesn't become darkened.

Today, as the Bible tells me, I will give thanks always.

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. How am I incorporating the practice of gratitude into my daily routine, and how can I improve on this?
  2. In what specific ways have I experienced God’s goodness and enduring love in my life recently?
  3. How has the practice of gratitude influenced my perspective during challenging times?

Read I have an attitude of gratitude because God is so good

Every new dawn brings with it a fresh opportunity to reflect on the vastness of God’s love and goodness. It’s an incredible blessing that instills in me an attitude of gratitude. The mere fact that I wake up each day, breathe, and go about my life is a testament to God’s unwavering goodness. This daily miracle I sometimes overlooked, yet it’s a gift that deserves my thanks.

God’s love is clear in every aspect of my life, from the grandeur of the universe to the minutiae of the day-to-day of every day. The sun that rises each morning, the rain that waters our crops, and the air we breathe are all expressions of His divine goodness. These natural phenomena, though simple, are profound reminders of His benevolent presence in our lives. He sends rain on the righteous and unrighteous, so I know I must act as a true child of His and love the ones who don’t choose to live at peace with me, and I pray for those who persecute me.

God’s goodness is also deeply personal and unique towards me. He has given me gifts and talents, helping me to find my purpose in life. In whatever I do, I can love God and love others so they can love God and love others. He guides me through life’s winding paths, teaching me lifelong lessons that shape me more and more into the image of the Son, whom He loves.

In times of troubles, God’s goodness remains constant. Through these experiences, He fortifies my faith and resilience, strengthening me and making me wiser. He works all things together for the good of those He calls. It is in these moments that His love shines the brightest, guiding me towards growth and healing.

God’s goodness is manifested in the love and kindness I receive from others. Every act of compassion and goodwill I encounter reflects His divine love. I extend this love to those around me, becoming a vessel of His goodness. My attitude of gratitude stems from recognizing God’s abundant goodness in every aspect of life. His love is ubiquitous—in the rising sun, in the falling rain, in the air I breathe, in my unique talents, in life’s lessons, in acts of kindness I receive and give.

Today, I am grateful because God is so good.

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. In what specific everyday events or aspects can I see God’s goodness, and how do they inspire gratitude within me?
  2. How has experiencing trials or challenges strengthened my faith and deepened my understanding of God’s constant goodness?
  3. How can I extend God’s goodness to others, and why is this important in cultivating an attitude of gratitude?

Thankfulness comes naturally to me. I know I am blessed and I decide to live blessed in the day-to-day of every day. Remembering gratitude brings me joy, and I actively choose to cultivate gratitude daily! This is the day the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it!

I appreciate the amazing individuals who surround me. They provide me with companionship, support, intellectual stimulation, and spiritual guidance, which helps me grow. In return, I offer the same to them and find happiness in doing so. I seek their company and frequently express my appreciation for their presence in my life.

My material possessions are helpful and plentiful. I am blessed. They serve me; I don’t serve them. I live in a world of abundance and I am grateful for the numerous opportunities that exist, but I will not put any job or possession in the place of God. No one can serve two masters. All my needs are met, and many of my wants as well. So every day, I consciously choose to appreciate the material abundance that God has blessed me with.

If I ever wish things to differ from the way they are, I know He will give me the desires of my heart. I seek the Lord. I try to figure out what pleases Him. He prunes away the good to bring out the better and prunes the better to bring out the best. I trust Him to lead me and so I obey what He tells me to lay down and obey what He tells me to pick up. He is Lord of my life. I worry about nothing, pray about everything and give thanks in all things.

Because of my overwhelming gratitude and my trust in God, I consistently feel relaxed and joyful. After all, the boundary lines for me have fallen in pleasant places, I know that full well.

Today, I allow my natural gratitude to flourish. I perceive every experience as an opportunity for more thankfulness and greater joy. I make a point of finding the positive aspects in every situation and look to see what God is doing.

Growing more like Christ is the priority for me, so I take delight in recognizing His hand at work in my life. I am excited about every little bit of progress I make and grateful that God continues to mold and transform me. I have confidence that He will complete the good work He has started in me.

My life is filled with joy, because I am consistently working toward being more like Him and seeking His kingdom first in every area of my life. I have discovered that trusting God more is a reliable way to experience joy. Therefore, I place my trust in Him. The God of all hope fills me with peace and joy as I trust in Him, and His Holy Spirit empowers me to overflow with hope.

By the grace of God, I am who I am, and I recognize that His grace was not without effect on my life. I diligently work with the strength He provides to turn away from sin and live for Christ. A little effort each day ensures that I can experience joy and peace. I understand the importance of seeking God in every moment, which is why I make time for prayer.

In prayer, I exchange my problems for His peace. I cast my cares upon Him because He cares for me. Instead of worrying, I choose to pray about everything and give thanks in all circumstances. Gratitude is a regular part of my life, and I appreciate any progress that brings joy to Him. His voice reassures me that He dances over me with singing.

Today, I am actively pursuing God’s will for my life and finding joy and gratitude along the way. I am committed to seeing His kingdom come in my everyday world. I choose to embrace how He sees me, my life, and my progress. With gratitude and joy, I celebrate each goal I achieve.

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. Do I have more love and joy and peace and kindness and gentleness and faithfulness and goodness than I had in the past?
  2. Am I adding to my faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love? How have I grown in these
  3. Can I sense You are dancing over me with joy?

“O Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; Let us shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise! For the Lord is a great God, and a great King above all gods.” - Psalm 95:1-3 (GW)

Read I thank God for the path He has me on

This path I am on may not always be easy. Each day has enough trouble of its own. But I know I cannot give God credit for the works of the one who comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I know I need to choose to consider all hardship as discipline, knowing He is good and will work all things together for good. I choose to worry about nothing, pray about everything and thank God in all things because He cares for me and this is His will for me in Christ Jesus.

Jesus is the light of the world. As I follow Him, I do not have to walk in darkness, because I have the light that leads to life. His word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. The Lord my God teaches me what is good for me and leads me along the paths I should follow.

When I need wisdom, I ask my generous God, and He gives the wisdom I need. He does not rebuke me for asking. The Lord grants wisdom! From His mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest and is a shield to those who walk with integrity. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to Him. From Him I understand what is right, just, and fair, and I find the right way to go.

I know what it is like to live and I know what it is like to feel alive. Yes, I will endure to the end, but I choose to live every day of my life. I can when I trust in the Lord with all my heart and not lean on what I can only understand. Seek His will in all I do. He shows me which path to take. He goes before me and beside me and inside me. He was and is and is to come. What surprises me, never catches Him off guard. I can trust Him because He is so trustable, and He is so very good.

I thank God for the path He has me on. Even though I may not see the whole path, He shows me the next step when I am still enough to listen. I follow the path of peace.

Today, I thank God for His leading, protection, empowerment, trust, and trustability.

Read The beauty of creation makes me feel so blessed

This is my Father’s world. For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. He has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.

The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display His craftsmanship. Day after day, they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. The beauty of creation makes me feel so blessed.

I recognize that there is much darkness in the world–war, hate and anger are real. Our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Behind every bit of darkness is a shimmer of light waiting for the right moment to break through. The darker the night, the brighter my light.

The beauty of creation makes me remember my Father takes care of the flowers and the birds, so I can trust Him to take care of my needs. I am amazed at the smallness of our planet in a huge and expanding universe as much as I’m in awe of the course of an electron around the nucleus of an atom. He created it all, and He holds everything together. The fact He cares for me is almost too much to contain.

When I get overwhelmed with negativity in the news or I get that news that drops me to my knees, I know I can pour my heart out to God in lament. Then I turn my thoughts to praise and can do that easily by considering the beauty of creation and the pleasure of the Creator.

Today, I see the beauty all around me. I thank my God because of it. I say to my soul, my Father’s world is a wonderful place!

Reflection Questions to Ask Holy Spirit:

  1. What in creation do You want me to be in awe with today?
  2. How do You want me to embrace the beauty of the world when I am attacked with negativity?
  3. Do You want me to lament something I’m harbouring in my thoughts?

Read I kindly accept others blessing me

It is more blessed to give than it is to receive. I do good and share what I have, as these acts are pleasing to God. I support the needs of others and open my home to strangers. When I can help someone in need, I don’t hold back. I find joy in refreshing others and feel blessed when I can be a blessing to them.

I also allow others to bless me. When they offer, I allow them to serve me. Each time someone lets me know of their appreciation, I am thankful. I express gratitude to my God for the people in my life and for the kind gifts they have given me. I receive compliments with humility and thankfulness, considering each one as a thoughtful present. When someone shows kindness towards me, I appreciate their gesture wholeheartedly.

I don’t reject the kindness shown me and I don’t assume I deserve the kindness or blessing, but I also don’t deny someone the chance to bless and be blessed. So I eat the meal placed before me with thanksgiving and don’t rob the chance to connect. I let them serve me. When someone gives me a physical gift, I am always sure to respond to the spirit of the gift with heartfelt gratitude and appreciation.

Although I may sometimes feel tempted to brush off praise, I remember that most people are offering it authentically. They truly want to encourage me. A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need. So instead of deflecting their affirmations, I receive them with humility and gratitude.

Today, I am gracious when receiving compliments. I am thankful each time someone gives me a compliment. Each day, I practice saying, “Thank you” to praise, instead of deflecting it. I kindly accept others blessing me.

Reflection Questions to Ask Holy Spirit:

  1. Do I graciously accept blessing and compliments and allow people to help me?
  2. Am I appreciating and not taking advantage of everyone who offers to help me?
  3. How can I show more humility and heartfelt gratitude when someone compliments me?

Read As I humble myself before God he lifts me up

Every evening before bed, I make some time to reflect on my day. I think about what is true, and honourable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable, about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. I feel grateful for each blessing and acknowledge its impact on my life. Following this rhythm helps me to be in humble awe and appreciation of all the good things in my life.

I am not selfish, and I don’t try to impress others. Embracing true humility, I extend love to those in my everyday world. I don’t just think of myself and protect my own interests. Instead, I possess a greater concern for what matters to others instead of just what matters to me. I take time to listen and hear what they are saying. I want them to know they are seen and heard. What I see and hear continually amazes and blesses me, so I choose to be interruptible.

As part of God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, I clothe myself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. I extend heart-felt thanks and ask Holy Spirit, “What does love look like?” in every interaction. I seek to be completely humble and gentle; and patient, interacting with others in love.

I clothe myself with humility toward others, because God opposes the proud but offers grace to the humble and I know I need His grace. I know I have His grace and I feel so grateful for His grace. His grace empowers me to accomplish what He asks me to do. I extend His grace to others. He has shown me what He requires and what He requires is for me to live justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with my God. As I humble myself before God, He lifts me up.

Today, I am committed to feeling gratitude for each blessing I receive, and showing appreciation to everyone I feel appreciation for. Life is more fulfilling when I live in thankfulness.

Reflection Questions to Ask Holy Spirit:

  1. Am I living justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with my God?
  2. Have I been thinking of others’ interest instead of just my own?
  3. Do I clothe myself with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience?
