Every morning, as the sun dances its way into the sky, I awaken with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the gift of life, for the blessings that have been bestowed upon me, and for the love that envelopes me.

I decide to not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, I present my requests to God. Casting any cares that have followed me from the night on Him, because He cares for me. I start my day with gratitude, and lay my worries at His feet, and to trust He is working all things together for the good.

This is the day that the Lord has made; I will rejoice and be glad in it. Every day is a unique gift from God, one that should be filled with joy and gratitude. Even in the midst of trials and tribulations, there is always a reason to give thanks. As I go about my day, I find myself rejoicing always, and praying continually, giving thanks in all circumstances; for I know this is God’s will for me in Christ Jesus. I don’t let gratitude to be confined to the morning hours. Instead, it permeates every moment of my life. I am constantly in conversation with God, expressing my thanks for His many blessings.

Gratitude is more than just an emotion or a state of mind. It is a way of life. I choose to see the good in each day, to appreciate the beauty in each moment, and to celebrate the love in each interaction. It is choosing to trust in God’s plan that is good and that He is working all things together for the good. I find peace in His presence. I find peace when I trust Him enough to always be in His presence.

As I lay down to rest each evening, my heart brimming with gratitude for another blessed day, I give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. I celebrate my daily journey with gratitude. It serves as a poignant reminder of God’s unwavering love and faithfulness.

Gratitude is more than just a habit or a routine. It is a spiritual discipline, a sacred practice that draws me closer to God and allows me to experience His love in profound and meaningful ways. As I cultivate a heart of gratitude, I open myself up to the abundance of God’s grace and the beauty of His creation.

Today, as I start the day, I do so with gratitude—gratitude for the love of God, for the gift of life, and for the countless blessings that come my way. For it is through this gratitude that I truly come alive and experience the fullness of God’s love. Gratitude is a sacred practice.

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. How can my outlook on life and my relationship with God be affected by starting each day with gratitude?
  2. Can I identify specific moments or situations where I found joy and gratitude, even during trials?
  3. How can I incorporate gratitude into every aspect of my life, beyond just the morning hours?

Read I appreciate the anticipation of new things in my life

While I appreciate everything God has provided and entrusted to me, and while I know the power of testimony to invite God to do it again, I don’t revel only in the past. I don’t spend all my time recounting the victories of days gone by or the “glory days”. I look to see what God will say and see He is preparing something new; it’s happening now, even as I as listen to Him speak, and I know I am about to see it. He is preparing a way through the desert; and creating rivers in the dry wasteland. I appreciate the anticipation of new things in my life.

He is making all things new. Each morning, His mercies are made fresh. Because I belong to Christ, I am a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!

I expect my good Father to work all things together for good and I trust Him to take care of all things that I need. I will ask and keep asking, knock and keep knocking, seek and keep seeking to develop who I am becoming. He will finish the good work He’s started in me.

I never doubt God’s mighty power to work in me and accomplish His will. He will achieve infinitely more than my greatest request, my most unbelievable dream, and exceed my wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energizes me.

The best is yet to come! No eye has ever seen, and no ear has ever heard and it has never occurred to the human heart all the things God prepared for those who love Him. One day I will be like Him, for I will see Him as He is, but eternity started the moment He rescued Me out of darkness into His wonderful light.

Today I raise my anticipation of good things from my good father. I am thankful for what I have and I appreciate the anticipation of new things in my life.

Reflection Questions to ask Holy Spirit:

  1. Who are the people should show appreciation for today?
  2. What special things in my life do I feel thankful for?
  3. Do I focus more on what I have instead of what others have?

Read I am grateful for all that I have

Every good and perfect gift comes from my Father of light who doesn’t change like shifting shadows. Everything He created is good and so nothing is to be rejected when I receive it with thanksgiving. When I reflect on everything I have been entrusted with, I realize the boundary markers have fallen for me in pleasant places. I am blessed.

From my home, to the people I enjoy who enjoy me, to my job, and my hobbies, my life is full of many things that bring me joy, laughter, and refreshing. My life is filled with abundance because of the beautiful people I have in my life.

My loved ones are accepting of both my strengths and weaknesses. I’m so blessed my partner understands me, and my relatives are helpful whenever I need them. My friends are there to celebrate with me.

As I forgive, and I am forgiven and as I give, I receive. When I bless, I am blessed and when I refresh, I am refreshed. Whatever I gratefully give, He returns to me in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more, running over, and poured into my lap. The amount I give determines the amount I get back. In gratitude, I give and appreciate what has been given to me.

Following His path sustains me. His will is for me to give thanks in all circumstances. It’s for my own good. I will worry about nothing, pray about everything and thank Him in all things. Hearing Him rejoice over me with singing gives me life. His body is actual food. His blood is actual drink.

Today, I take count of my blessings. It is important to acknowledge everything I have in this life. I am grateful for my multitude of riches.

Reflection Questions to Ask Holy Spirit:

  1. Do I gratefully reflect on everything I have in my life often enough?
  2. What good thing happened one time I expressed my gratitude?
  3. When have I had difficulty acknowledging what I am thankful for?

When I am afraid, I choose to trust my God. When I am feeling low, I choose to feel thankful for His many blessings. Choosing to feel grateful changes my perspective.

I thank Him for the small things I feel grateful for what I can too easily take for granted. A sunrise, comfort from a pet, a warm house, somewhere to relax are all blessings He has blessed me with. My boundary lines have fallen in pleasant places.

I remember that He’s blessed me with everything I need - my health, my family, and my friends. I give thanks for the education and skills He’s entrusted to Me and helped Me developed.

When I act on the appreciation I feel for people in my everyday world, my relationships are enhanced. I value those around me and want them to know it. Just being around them improves my life. I let them bless me and work to truly bless them in ways they’ll appreciate.

Choosing gratitude changes my perspective from feeling I do not have enough to realizing I have been blessed in so many ways. I recognize the abundance in my life. I look at what He’s doing and will not focus on what’s left undone. Every good and perfect gift comes from the Father above and everything God created is good, so nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving.

I work at feeling grateful and choose to worry about nothing, pray about everything and give thanks in all things because I have a good Father who cares for me. Every morning I give thanks. Throughout the day, I let others know how much they mean to me. I use my words and actions to express my gratitude.

Today, I take time to savour the good things in my life. I use my actions to pay forward the kindness that I receive and express my appreciation by letting others know how much they mean to me. I slow down and notice my blessings and marvel at how much has been entrusted to me. Choosing to feel grateful changes my perspective.

Reflection Questions to Ask Holy Spirit:

  1. What are 3 things I sometimes forget to be grateful for?
  2. How do You want me to show gratitude to family and friends?
  3. What do You want me to notice and feel thankful for today?
